Memunatu Sulemana, a former goalie for the Black Queens, was given the keys to a two-bedroom apartment that John Mahama had rented for her, and she is now prepared to move into a new home.
This comes after the former head of state pledged to find her a nice place to live when it was discovered that she was residing in a wooden kiosk.
Sulemana, a member of the Ghanaian team that competed in the FIFA Women’s World Cup, recently spoke up about the difficult situation she found herself in after she gave up playing football.
During her more than ten-year career, the 45-year-old played over 30 games for Ghana’s women’s national team.
She also competed for the Black Queens teams in the FIFA Women’s World Cup competitions in 1999, 2003, and 2007.
Sulemana said despite having a distinguished career, she made relatively little money playing football, which contributed to her current predicament.
She acknowledged residing at a temporary residence in Kaneshie, Accra, in an interview with Original TV that was posted on YouTube.

Sulemana, is seen checking out the apartment that Mahama has rented for her in a viral video before she moves in.
The former goalkeeper’s unfortunate circumstance, in the meantime, came as a shock, especially considering that she has taken on a few football-related responsibilities after hanging up her gloves.
